Yusuf Mehrauly

A leader of the labour movement in Bombay, Indian youth movement and a revolutionary freedom fighter, was born in a trader's family from the Khoja community of Shia Muslims from Gujarath. He organized Gumastas and struggle for their rights as a result of which the British Government had to enact the 'Gumasta regulations'. He was the founder member and the general secretary of the congress socialist party.
