Madhu Karnik is a novelist and short story writer who has written in marathi language. His novel-Mahimchi Khadi, was published in the year 1969 and was a work of realism that narrated the incidents and life of people of a slum located in the Mahim creek. The novel won the ‘State Literary Award’ in the year 1970.
