Censused Slum

Means a slum that has been censused, surveyed and enumerated in the records of the land owning authority or by the Slum Rehabilitation Authority. The first slum census was carried out in the year 1976, followed by surveys in the year 1980, 1985, 1995 and 2000. These surveys were different from the Census that are done once every decade.
