Founded by Premchand Roy Chand, Cowasji Jehanghir, Walter Cassels and Mr. Gavin Steel, in the year 1863. The Company was formed with the objective to take forward a reclamation scheme according to which a total of 1500 acres of land was to be acquired out of which 300 acres of land was to handed over to the government. The Company was closed in November, 1870.
