One of the very first woman journalist to cover political beat and has been writing as a journalist now for more than 50 years. Started her stint as a journalist with Anand Bazaar Patrika in 1960s covering politics and business and then moved to The Asian Age. She wrote the column 'Garibi Hatao: My Bare Foot' for about a decade in weekly Blitz.
