There were around 22 hills in Bombay. Names of few are: Malabar, Nowroji, Cumbala, Antop, Sewri, Gilbert, Worli, Pali, Mazgaon, Sion, Mahakali, Golanji, Salamati, Pulshachi, Trombay, Ghatkopar, Powai Hill. Since about 1700, these hills have been eroded continuously by quarrying, reclamation needs, and construction activity.
